Coach’s Corner
Ongeleke Racine Turner possesses over 13 years of experience in the mental health field, spanning multiple, diverse cross-clinical settings where she has supported individuals navigating a wide range of mental health challenges across the lifespan.
She is a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan (LMSW-C) and Pennsylvania (LCSW) and earned her Master of Social Work degree, along with a Graduate Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies, from Wayne State University. She is also a proud alumna of Michigan State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Humanities–Pre Law.
She also holds a Sport Social Work Certification from New York University Silver School of Social Work and is an active member of Association for Applied Sport Psychology and Alliance of Social Workers in Sport, aligning her work with leading organizations advancing mental health in sport.
Ongeleke’s connection to sport began at a young age when she was introduced to running in the form of athletic competition where track and field became her first love. She is a former AAU track and field athlete who once competed at the AAU Junior Olympics. Achieving a career as track star was not meant for her life’s trajectory, however, many lessons from sport foundational to her work. She will never forget the feeling of showing up and competing despite the odds.
Over time, she made the intentional decision to bring her clinical expertise into the world of sport—driven by a passion to support athletes and associated members of athletic communities, not just in how they perform, but in how they live, grow, and sustain their well-being beyond the game, while helping to build and cultivate healthier sport environments.
NoFlagNoFoul LLC was established to provide a safe, supportive space for athletes to address mental health concerns through professional coaching and clinical services, group, team, and organizational mental health consulting and psychoeducational training. This sport curated, wellness facing space offers the best of both worlds as it welcomes her to integrate what she loves most: helping people function as the best versions of themselves and sports.
Her philosophy is simple: Human First; Athlete Second. Her work thrives at the intersection where sport culture and humanity meet. She believes that in order to perform at your highest level on the court, field, or beyond—you must first be well as a person. NF² supports athletes and their ecosystems in developing life-enhancing strategies that promote optimal mental wellness, sustainable performance, and growth within and beyond sport.
While her work is rooted in sport, she specializes in supporting humans—wherever they are.
